What is a 200 Pro XL range??

I'm going to be fishing a local tournament next weekend. I need to make a long run of about 70 miles one way full throttle (if Lake Michigan allows). I have a 200pro XL with a 225 E-Tec H.O. does anybody know what the range of this boat is?

I have made 50 mile each way runs with my 201/225HO with plenty of fuel to spare. At wide open throttle, 140 miles total might be tight, but doable...

I now have the ICommand digital gauges in my boat. My E-TEC on a 201 will get approximately 3.4 MPG at WOT (74 MPH @ 5850 RPM) in good calm to slight chop conditions. I would think the 200 would be as good or a little better.

According to this calculation, you could do it. I have not had the gauges long enough to check and make sure they are accurate but it is calculating it from the fuel used at the injectors.

not sure on that. i know that my zx225 i traded to c&o would do it, but it had the 225 HPDI. i ran from mcfarland ramp(Pickwick) to Bay Springs back to Pickwick state park and then back to mcfarland. Total trip 169 miles and had about 4 gallons left out of 50. never ran WOT but stayed around 65-68 mph

saterday during the break in of my new 201 with 250 hpdi i ran 125 mile and put 27 gallons back in it. but none of that was ever close to wot

In my previous 200 ProXL with a 225 HO (non etec). I ran out of gas at 168 miles(10 miles short of the ramp) running WOT, so I would think that with the E-tec you should be fine at 140 miles. If you back out of it just enough to loose 2 mph it will save a lot of gas.

But you know what.......you'd have felt even sicker if you got that extra 2 gallons out and ended up running out only a couple miles from the ramp.

I run a 200 Pro XL with a 225 Optimax Pro XS...

During the summer, in the BFL's I fish, I routinly make 75 mile runs to the St. Clair River through St. Clair and the Detroit River, from Elizabeth Park in Trenton...

The run is 75 miles one way and it usually take me an hour and 10 minutes and at the end of the day I usually have to put 42 gallons in my tank... give or take a gallon...

I made the run with my old boat which was a 200 Pro XL with a DI HO and I used a tad more gas but still had enough...

You should be ok with your run... and Lake Michigan won't allow you to run WOT...

I was wondering what the range would be with the Pro XS. I have one and it almost seems to make gas. And it hauls ass which makes me real happy.

With my new 200XS/225 ProXS running WOT (77mph) I am burning 20.4 gal per hour =3.77 mpg with 48 gals of gas=181 mile range. If I hold it at 4800 rpm (65 mph) I am burning 12.8 gal per hour =5.08 mpg with 48 gals of gas=244 mile range. Fuel usage rates by Smartcraft.

Yea I saw your skeeter down at c & o on saturday, I drove down from Northwest Indiana to get some bugs work out for this weekend. C & O had me on my way home in 4 hours.

LOL, if your really worried about it, instead of an extra tackle bag, take an extra 5 or 6 gallon gas can.....That way you know if you run out, you can baby it on the way back and make it on your reserve, haha.
