    2 questions from a newbie boat owner

    1-have a very small leak i can see at right rear lower inside just behind fuel tank not much of a leak but very concerned.i can see where it's coming from from the inside but outside shows no damage.is it okay to repair this from the inside or what is my best action to take? 2-how is the proper way to get boat up on plane when it does come up on plane should you be able to trim motor up and down? boat is a 1989 stratos with a 200 evinrude 19 foot.sorry for the silly questions but local boat shop not much help.i she is a old one but got what i could afford.thanks for the help and all the good reading.Richard

    i had the same thing it was my charger the screws came lose and came out. i got some stuff called marine tex from my local maine store its a 2 part apoxie. just cleaned it up and filled the holes did the job. i found the holes by putting my boat in the driveway.taking the battiers and charger out and threw the hose in the back. filled it up till i saw where it was leaking from hope this helps u

    Marine tex is good stuff. Depending on where your leak is you might could use silicone too.

    Neil,

    I beleive I saw you at the Jordan ramps a couple weeks back on a Sunday. I am in Cary also... I was in the Stratos 275xl next to the ramp that you had dropped in at. I was dropping in as you were heading out on the lake. Not sure if you noticed, but that was me... You catch anything that day?
