Where to start on set up

2003 201 Stratos, 6" jackplate, 2005 225 ETEC, 26 trophy 4 blade, 2 5/8" below pad, Speed 2 people, empty storage, 1/3 tank of gas, 76 gps. Boat does not seem to have enough lift with the four blade, now I am use to a 203 Champion before with a 25 raker, with lots of lift. Hole shot seem slow. Just bought it and this was from the test ride, Considering a 28p RakerII, All help appreciated.

Re: Where to start on set up (MaverickPro203)

You may have had a 24 Raker, but not a 25. They only come in even sizes.

For your boat, it will be hard to beat a 27 Tempest. You should also try the 28 Raker II if you are going to be running somewhat light (like AB ).

If you stay with the Trophy or go with a Tempest, you can help the holeshot by adjusting the PVS plugs.

Sounds like you have a runner.

Re: Where to start on set up (1niceStratos)

Had the old raker repitched and balanced/worked on the Champion. The tempest just takes so long to set up I feel, The rakers are much easier. For the Stratos

A 27 Tempest works pretty well on the 201/225HO.
