I've been looking at used Javelin and Stratos boats for awhile and am wondering what year they quit putting wood in the transoms and stringers of these boats?

I think it was 1997 or 1998. But I am not 100% sure.
The SS Extreme's were all composite. They came out in '99. It is possible they began doing it with other hulls before that, but those in '99 had no wood.

2000 all Stratos boats composites, If I remember correctly, the ss extreme was all composite in 99 but a slow hull
I think Javelin was 97 but dont quote me on that... Pretty sure mine is composite...
I have been told the first all composite boat was the 98 201. everything other than the 201 in 98 had wood in it.
hope this helps

i have a 98 javelin 389 no wood. i think 98 was the frist year for no wood in a javelin. by the way mine is for sale it can be seen on the boats for sale page. its the blue 389
I have a 1999 Javelin Renegade 20 and it has wood on the floor decking (I know that for a fact, needed to fix some "soft areas" and have pictures to prove it)Â not sure about the transom though...
My 93 Javelin looks like it has no wood when I replaced the carpet.
Mine is composite.
