    Prop to pad height???

I got a 379, where do these boats like the prop to pad height? I just put a 6 inch plate on it, and have the prop shaft set 3 inches below the pad.

To be honest, you have to play with it to find the sweet spot. Every prop is slightly different and some hold water better or give better lift. You're probably very close but you won't know for sure until you've gone up and/or down with the height to see where you start to lose bite. Keep an eye on the water pressure because you don't want it to get too low.

Yea, keep playing with it. You will see the difference when you get it right.

I have a 93 Javelin 409 F/S with a 20P Raker prop. I had my prop shaft at 3.5 below pad last weekend but I had trouble with poorpusing so I dropped it to 4" below pad. Will that help or hurt? Haven't got to run it yet since I lowered it.
