Wiring For my stratos

Hey all, I am new and have a question, during a recent tournament my livewell wouldnt work so I started checking the pumps and they wouldnt even turn on, well then I left them on and started playing with the big nest of wires and all of a suddern it kicked on...Well long story short this happened again in a tournament I fished yesterday, Is this a wiring issue, (stupid question I know but just want to make sure) and how do I go about finding the problem and fixing it without taking it to the local boat shop and paying out the ying yang..Also do the color of the wires coming out of the top of the pumps stay the same all the way to the final connection??? If so I will start by following them wires first...I dont want to have to direct wire it with some sort of a toggle on/off switch but dont want to pay a ton either..I know it's stupid of me not to want to pay to get it done but if I can get some help here maybe I wont have to...Thanks for any help you can offer me..

The wires should stay the same color. However sometimes it is easier to run all new wire to the swicthes then you know you have a good connection and know where everything is and it will work like it should. It is not hard to do just takes time to do it.

Can you post the model no and year of the boat you have? It may help with posting suggestions.

call stratos customer svc and tell them you need the wire color chart for stratos boats they can e-mail you the list for pre and post 1992 boats and what color wires go to what things.
