201 or 200 pro xl with 255 e-tec h.o.

I currently owned a 1997 282 with 150 evinrude intruder and now I'm ready for a upgrade to the 20 footers. I was ready to buy the 201 pro xl with the e-tec but after reading the forums I notice the 200 pro xl seem to have more top speed. How's the 201 pro xl do with e-tec on top speed. I need some input before getting my new boat.

Mid 70's on average with the 201 and a couple mph more on average with the 200. I've owned both boats and really thought the 200 was the total package. Now that I have a 201, it would be hard for me to go back.

Both boats are amazing, but I'm getting very good speed out of my 201 and the ride/handling is just a tad better thant he 200. Plus, you have 7 more inches of storage up front with the 201.

I've owned both like Jason. I don't think I could go back to a 200 even if it is a faster hull.
