    Tilt leaking down??

WQhen I tilt my motor all the way up, I can hear it let go a little at a time, kind of like a creaking sound. Went away for christmas and left the motor in the down position, when I got home yesterday, the skeg was sitting on the floor. , Is this normal, if not, is it a leaking cylinder of something else I should be looking for??

Make sure your manual release screw is all the way in. If so tilt all the way up and deploy the trailer bracket, check fluid level. If it is fine trim the motor off the bracket and then down to the floor onto a block of wood. Loosen the release screw a few turns and then trim the motor up/down for 5 full cycles of 20 seconds up/down. Tighten release screw. trim up/down to verify operation. If you are still under warranty and the procedure didn't work have dealer fix it under warranty.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. My warranty has expired so I'm on my own now.

Once you tilt up and you crack the seal on the reservoir try not to let too much fluid out. just crack it enough to see if it starts to run.

That was the first thing that I checked and fluid started to run out so I quickly closed the resevoir. I will try this in the morning and see what happens.
