The speedo never worked for me, and while I am waiting for the last ice to melt up here, I was wondering where the pickup for the Speedo really is.
Is it internal to the engine nose cone??????? Any help is appreciated!

It is on the leading (i.e. front) edge of the lower unit located above prop shaft . It will look like a tiny nick in the leading edge. The speedo hole usually gets stopped up within 15 minutes of putting a new boat in the water at Old Hickory Lake here in TN.

Wow Duane, what's your secret? I can't get over 11 minutes on Old Hickory! I'd rather keep my passenger guessing anyway. "So, it felt like 85, you must be right!"![]()
Thanks,
I was guessing it was that....
