My friend islooking at a 2005 275 magnum, XL is rated for a 25 Hp but this magnum had a 130 Yammi, Jackplate and hot foot.

Anyone know what the magnum package a added and whats up with the HP ratings.

I believe the 275 Mag was rated for a 150hp. I thought I read that somewhere.

    Correct.

The 275 Magnum was rated for 150 hp. It came with a Jack-Plate and a Hot-Foot instead of adding it seperately. Nothing on the 'internals' of the boat were any different.

Wow 150Hp was thinking 130-135Hp Dual CABLE Steering To Correct?

Looks like my friend and I will be going for one last final barter session. Boat has a aluminum prop any recomendations for a SS version This one has a 130 HP 2005 Yammi with the jackplate.

What do you prop a 130 Yammi for 5500-5800? He may use the boat for some other family water fun so easy driving and good holeshot may overrule that last 1-3 mph.

& Thanks he is buying it for his 2 teenage sons 15,18 who are both Jr Bassmasters and AVID Bass anglers.

It will be a nice, very stable fishing platform. Don't worry about the steering system. Dual cable is a very reliable system. That used to be what came on the larger boats with hydraulic being either an option or not even available.

I know there are a few folks out there with that combo that can help you out with prop selection, but I wouldn't know where to start.
