Man that wasnt to easy of a job. Not for somebody 6'2 and 225. Now I got to figure how to cover all the holes. Sure gives me more room for my buddie and his tackle but it doesnt look as good I dont think. Guess I will get use to it.

Sorry to hear that your not quite happy with the results you got . If you are thinking of getting rid of that console I believe the was another member looking for a console for his ride . Wish I could tell you more .
Like I said, its definetly unsightly. No easy fix unless you want to spend the $$$ to get the glass professionally done. I have always had the dual and wanted to try single. No doubt a pain in the @$$ to remove!! You think you had it bad?? Try 6-4 and 250..If it hadn't been for my neighbors kid to help stick his arm in the hole and hold a wrench, I would have ripped it out!!!

I laid down in the floor and put my left arm in there, and I thought I was going to have to leave it in there. Then I couldnt get up off the floor. Sure alot better working on the hotfoot and drivers console with it out
I believe I will sell mine if anybody wants it. Sure aint gonna put it back in, may get my arm stuck next time.Oh its out of a 03 and its white.
You shouldn't have any trouble selling it, but you may want to think about the future. If you get ready to sell or trade your rig, it might be nice to have.![]()

Can you use the same pads like the step pads and foot rests are made of and cover most of them? If just need to fill the holes, can you use plastic body panel plugs?
I had been thinking about it on mine. Is it just holes that show or is the fiberglass really scuffed bad too...
Russ the glass was scuffed and I used rubbing compound to get it back right. Used Kleanze Easy from Napa to get the glue off. I used something like the rubber pads. Got them from Cabelas. The holes down front were covered by a piece maybe 2" by 8". The ones on the side I covered with a bigger piece. Dont look that bad, gotta look better than it was. Got to get a lid now for the one compartment down low. The piece on the side you wont notice with rods in the holder. Just cant believe the extra room now. And I really thought I like a dual console.
I wouldn't dream of putting the second console in my rig. I love the wide open floor space it provides.
Hardly anyone uses them here in the South, but when you are a passenger, it sure does give a nice sense of comfort and security. I can't even open my eyes in anyone esles boats, even if I have sunglasses...My next boat will have dual consoles.
I love my dual consoles, never have a boat without duals again...![]()
No one uses them in the south because it is warm!!! You take a ride in one up here in dec. or march and you will know why we bought them. I thought that I wanted it for my partners too, but since my wife never goes anymore and I have become jaded to where I don't really care about my co-angler draw partners now, I think I may try to pull it and see...
I would like to come up with a fastening system that we could put them in or take them out when we wanted without as much work. If I pull mine, I will try to figure out something to use on the back sides so that we can fasten it in from the floor side only...
I really think if you were to but a thick piece of felt padding between the console and the side, you could bolt thru the rod locker only and holt it tight. I know the side bolts help it as well, but I just don't see it moving with that many bolts holding it in place. I may want to put mine back in one day. I just don't see it though.
Keeping mine in the shop just in case. But now I got to redo the road cover. I still cant believe the extra room in there now.
Same here. My cover is for dual and now its not dual!!Trying to figure something I could put together that would hold the cover up in the spot where the 2nd console was. Maybe a piece of pvc pipe bent at the angle the windshield was??

The cover that you get for a single console just has a snap on the cover, and then an extending pole that stands on the floor and snaps into the cover. Is there a way to fabricate something like that?
Could just use a blow up doll and stand here in the floorboard, then just strap her in and take her fishing.

Had some buddies that took one riding on their Harleys. They took turns with a bungie cord and just tied her to around their waist. Then they got mad at her because she wouldnt standup right and put her on the ground and beat on her a little. Somebody called the cops and said a lady was getting raped. They were drinking. When the cops showed up they were laughing to hard to do anything. You just got to know these guys.
Jerry can you see the neighbors looking through their curtians at my place wondering whats next.![]()
