    Boat Question?

I own a 1998 Stratos 285 Pro Elite. I am thinking about selling the boat to upgrade to a newer one and a bigger one. The boat has a brand new minn kota 65lb thrust, hot foot, wheel trim, 8in jackplate, and new batteries, and brand new trailer tires. What do you guys think would be a good starting place to try and sell it? Thanks Michael

That is a good reliable motor and a good hull. You shouldn't have any trouble selling it, except that this is not the best time of year to sell a boat ($$$ wise). You'd be just about as good off trading it in on what you want. It will save you time, money advertising, and save you on your taxes on the new one. Just a thought. As for a price on yours, you can check NADA.com but those values aren't 'gospel'.

You could always hook up to it and bring it to Nashville this weekend. C&O will be there making some great deals and they can always use good clean trades.

I am acutally going to the Greensboro's boat show. this weekend. But... i am looking at the stratos and the skeeter. Stratos is more along the line of my price range.

    Re: Boat Question? (kingfisher1185)

First off, I wouldn't buy a boat from around here unless it was a Ranger or if I got it from where I got mine (Graham Marine). Not that I got some super deal, but I felt good walking out of there with a boat. And the ranger deal is because I know the manager and have bought from him before (when he was elsewhere).

You have one of the best hulls ever built, in my opinion. I've spent many a day fishing from that model. My partner from a few years back had one and I liked it as much as I did my Hydra-Sports of the same style (LS 185).

Hey, why don't you bring that thing to Tillery this Saturday morning and meet a few of us. Look on the NC/SC board.

Just my .02 worth, I'm heading down to C&O weekend after next to pick up
a used Stratos(273). Thus far I've been treated to absolutely 1st class service.
Hats off to C&O and especially Todd Morgan!!!
You might consider trading your boat in for one of their clean 2 or 3 year old
used boats and refinancing the whole deal. Like I said, just my .02 worth.
Just can't leave well enough alone!!

Yeh i have thought about that. If I get one that will more than likely be how I do it. Everything that i have heard about them has been good.
