de carboning motor

i posted a little bit ago about my motor making noise almost like pinging in a car with bad gas...My dealer told me to de carbon the engine using crc de carbonizer he said to just spray it thru the throttle bodies while running and use the entire can then let it sit for 30 minutes then start it back up and run it a little...I did this and all the noise i had went away and it feels like i got a little power back especially in the holeshot...Is this something i should do on a regular basis or what? chris c nj

i believe it's every yr or 100 hrs the guru's will be by shortly..to correct if i'm wrong

It seemed to do the trick and boy did it smoke up the neighbor hood lots of smoke...But it does run a lot better and no more noise which is what i was looking for....It still takes forever to start for some reason but it runs great.....chris

don't know what engine your running but i did it every year on my Rude 150.
