Brakes on Stratos Trailer EVERY ONE CHECK YOURS

Dont get me wrong, I love my Stratos Boat, But the trailers suck. All trailers now a days suck becuase of the tube steel. but thats a whole nother story.

I have the tandem axcle trailer for a 20SS Extreme and when I would try and stop there was a clunk and when I would take off there would be a jerk in the trailer. Come to find out the way the rubber brake lines were run under the trailer it had rubbed a whole in the line. NO Brakes..

So those of yall with Tandem axles with the little drop down type jack check ( the kind that drops down and then you back up to lift the trailer) and make sure your brake lines are not rubbing were the attachment is for the little drop down jack anywere or you will have no brakes..

Now I need some new brake lines.

Just thought I would pass that along to yall..

That clunk and jerk is probably your brake accuator. It happens whether brakes work or not.

Yes I understand the Clunk, I was not worried about that just made me mad that I lost all my break fluid and now have to get under there and repair everything that will need replacing.. It was something that could have been avoided if the lines were run right in the first place.

Just wanted to let everone else know so they could check thiers.. and save some costly repairs down the road..

I may have read things all wrong..but I had the clunk also. Then I replaced the master cylinder, and shoes....Presto!! No clunk, and good brakes!

Hey Neilslure..you might check the little shock in the hitch if you're getting a jerk.
The bump when you brake should be eliminated by adjusting the shoes. The braking action of the hitch shouldn't let the hitch bottom out giving you that bump.
