Just purchased an X19 with the 175 SHO. Looking for advice on set up and performance results from someone with like unit. Any help greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard ! And congrats on the new ride!
Congrats. What jackplate do you have?
I am currently at a top speed of 63.5mph. Running a turbo FXP 23p with a 6" manual plate set at 3.5" below pad. Hitting max rpms. Could probably gain some more top speed with a 24p prop and few more inches of set back. But going up in prop may decrease my hole shot.

Six inch jack plate with a Power Tech 23p four blade loaner prop. No performance info yet, going to do the breakin routine this morning if the weather allows.
COngrat's on the new X19!
I know I sure like mine.

You will want to get rid of the powertech prop. Any pics???

Good info T-Bob. What size prop would you recommend on the 175?

I would start with a 23-24p and see where your rpms are at WOT and fine tune from there. And as stated above, get rid of the PT prop. Find a good trophy or TXP.
Anxious to see what the 175 will do on a 19ft boat. Keep us posted.![]()

Working with the dealer now on a new prop, not a PT. Asked them about Turbo and they said the factory is 6 - 8 weeks backordered.
Anyone have a solution to the leaking "Dry Storage Boxes"?

Is yours carpet or rhinoliner?????
If carpeted, you'll probably never get it completely dry sealed until to recarpet the boat to address the small gaps between the decking that need to be siliconed/chalked/welded (your preference). But you can still do all the major sources and it will help alot.
There's a couple of threads on here with step-by-step things to do to help dry one up ........ let us know if you can't find them.
Dry Storage threads are almost as weekly as PowerTech prop/setup threads.

Mine is the spray liner and thanks, I'll look for the threads.
I would think the good news is the 'liner should take care of the grooves/cracks where the sheets meet together at on the deck.
So you might just need to silicone;
1. the gasket seals (basically where they slide onto the edge of the aluminum decking, and also where the 2 ends meet together)
2. where the top cap meets the hull on the outside of the boat (this will also cut down on any water you might be getting in the bilge as well when doing the transom).
3. where the bow panels are (basically big holes through the aluminum to allow switches/wires.
The one place that you might not be able to completely stop water is in the lid hatch locks. If you have the older style Perko latches (my '15 does), then water can 'wash through' the lock, though it won't be much.
Were you able to find the other threads on this topic???

Yes, I was able to find some threads. I've sealed all compartment opening to the top deck. This looks like where the majority of the leaks came from. The door gaskets were sealed together from the factory. I do have the Perko latches and they definitely leak. Thanks for the help. Hope this does some good.
Xpress has a Performance Bulletin on their site, listing motor height, position on JP, and 23" SHO. These props are 15.125"
2015 Ranger RT188 DC; BassCat Storage Box; Mercury Optimax 115ProXS;
19" Spitfire X7; Vessel View Mobile; Minn Kota Ultrex 80; GForce Handle;
TM Eliminator; Helix 7 G2N SI Combo F/R; HydroWave KVD; BBT 4" Angled Bow Mount; Durasafe Locks for Electronics and Ultrex;
Twist Step Boarding Ladder; EZEE Step ES1; BAC RAC Rod Storage; Motor Mate Transom Saver
The test boat used for the performance bulletin had a 10" jack plate, mine has a 6" so it's not apples and apples. Don't know how much difference it will make. Thanks for the info.
