Where is the best place to mount the transducer? On the jackplate? Bottom or side? I think I will need a plate for the bottom. Where can I get it?
Thanks, Tight Lines----------------------

Could be wrong but i dont think they make a hole shot plate for the slidemaster jackplates, unless you have a different brand....the transducer shield and saver mounts will be some extra $$$ if you want to got that route...i used the supplied bracket and have it on my transome below the jackplate....the problem we have with the skeeters is that the ss ducer has to be low enough to clear the sponsons on both sides...

C and o marine has the holeshot plate give em a call
I made a holeshot plate for my slidemaster out of an old road sign (stopsign I think).
It turned out looking like a hole-shot plate, but, I made it so I could mount that $250 SI transducer out of harms way.
Cost me nothing (already had that sign).
Been on there a few years now and no problems.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
The Slidemaster hole shot plates mount up inside the jackplate.
I made one out a piece of aluminum sheet.
could you guys with alternative plates post pictures?
Difficult Takes a DAY! Impossible Takes a WEEK!
I ounted mine with one bolt to one of the existing holes in the jack plate, no problems.
