I have new to me 04 zx250 . when i turn starbord fill or recirculate on it runs for about a minute then kicks main power off . push main power it will power back up and then kick off again. I filled port side up and ran recirc for about 4 hr with no problem . Just wondering where to start checking . thinking maybe pump bad and drawing to many amps ? Thanks for any help .
I have been looking in sump area i see a red filter OR canister looking something in the hose running from livewell to back where pump is its under oil tank wondering what it is or if it could be pluged causing my peoblem ?
Normally if the pump motors start to go bad, they will just pop their own fuze (3 amp i believe) after trying to run a few seconds. You might want to check your main 30 amp fuze that feeds your power panel. It should be located by your cranking battery. Mine developed some corrosion once and wasn't allowing enough power to the main panel. Every time I would try to use anything (trim, lights, pumps, ect) the panel would dim, shut my graphs off and then power off itself. Had to replace the whole fuze holder with a better more watertight model. That fixed my problem.
