    Would a 20i with 250HPDI be more fuel efficient that a zx225 with 225EFI

Am curious if I would see any fuel efficeincy gains by going with a 2006 20i with 250HPDI vs my old 01 ZX225 with OX66. I'm sure there will be but anybody have a clue as to how much? Will the gas savings be negated by the oil usage of the 250HPDI?

Yes it would....when my ox66 blew up on my ZX225, I replaced it with an HPDI. The oil usage will seem about the same but the gas usage will be MUCH less. I guarantee it. My ox66 never saw a gas station it didn't like....I buy gas for my HPDI about once a month.

IMO...anybody that tells you there isn't a difference between the two, has never went from one to the other.

I was curious because the iClass is heavier than the ZX225, my ZX225 had a 225 EFI and the iClass has a 250HPDI. My gas bill is astronmical right now. Ideally I want another ZX225 with 225HPDI.

The 250 HPDI on a 20i will just about break u on gas and oil, may not be as bad a efi but will not be that much better and may even be worst on oil, mine used oil at 40 to 1, was a 09 series 2

Mine loves gas and oil. The only way to get decent milage is to run under 4k RPM but if I wanted to do that I'd have a flatbottom with a 20 horse.

None of that matters now. I have been a Skeeter guy all my life, but I just got a 2007 Legend with a Merc. 250 ProXS!
