    Go Jack - Question

For some reason I am not grasping the idea on how the go jacks work for a dual axle trailer. Would I only need 2 jacks and if so does each one open up and I would fit the jack around both wheels on each side? or do you have to have 4 small jacks that go around each wheel?

I have a dual axle trailer and only one set of gojacks. I am contemplating getting another set so that I can move the boat by myself. It still takes two to move it. But they do work well.

A single axle trailer will pivot meaning the boat rotates while the tires slide around, they don't turn that much.

Mount 4 wheels (ea. gojak has 4 wheels) under either the front or rear axle tires and the same thing happens. The 2 trailer tires being on 360 degree casters allow the tandem axle trailer the same manueverability as a single axle trailer. Pick front or back, but 2 gojaks go on the same axle, ie both front tires or both rear tires.

I have found that if you're really pivoting it and not using much forward or backwards motion, it helps to turn the tongue jack wheel so it's facing the direction you want the tongue to move. That'll really help make it easier to get it moving.

A gojak under all 4 wheels will allow you to stand beside the consoles on the boat and push it sideways. It also made it so much easier to move my 21 foot Skeeter that my wife at about 110 lbs could move it easily with all 4 tires on gojaks.

Yes it will be too just pivot the boat and be able to do what I currently do with my single axle. I have to have it angled in so that it fits.

how much are you needing to move your boat? i have a zx250 that i back into my garage at an angle and then have to grab the tongue of trailer and pull to the side so that the little lady can get her car into the garage. it is a little bit of a hassle but not too hard. i have found that it is easier to move the front with the jack higher up than letting it down.

two go jacks under one tire will lift both tires off the ground. they sure make it easier to move around, but it is not going to make a boat easy enougth to move around that one person is just going to be able to do anything they want to with it.
