Thanks for the replies. My problem is after a prop repair I have only been able to turn 5100 max. And cant get it to run on pad at WOT. Before it would only turn 5400 max. Its on a 205 Ranger with no jack plate. Do I need another prop all together?

You didn't say what prop you're running now, could be motor too low or too much prop. You need to get the R's up to around 5800.

Sorry about that. its a 25 Tempest +.
I think I found my problem
One of the local shops gave me a plug to put back in the prop because I had always run with one of them out before. Man I couldnt believe the differance that made. Took it out yesterday evening, got 5600 rpm and plenty of lift with just me and 14 gallons of gas. He said the prop was slipping too much. I thought slip ment too many rpm. Learn something new every day. Thanks for everything guys.
