Lake Fork, Texas - June 2-5, 2011
OVERALL FIRST PLACE: Biggest bass weighed in for the event wins a SKEETER ZX200 BASS BOAT with a Yamaha SHO 200 Engine, Single Axle Trailer, Minn-Kota Trolling Motor and Humminbird Electronics.

I didn't win a thing but i will be traveling back 16 hrs to do it again....any suggestions on good place to stay i was about 25 min from lake last year.

For those of you that have fished this tournament before how well run are they? How many boats usually show up? Does this run pretty smooth or is it total chaos?

I was thinking about going, but being new to boating and tournament fishing I do not want to be the dork at the ramp that is pissing everyone off or the one everyone is laughing at.

I was thinking about going, but being new to boating and tournament fishing I do not want to be the dork at the ramp that is pissing everyone off or the one everyone is laughing at. </td></tr></table> it is run very well how many boats well lets just say a BUNCH plus a lot more lol it runs very smooth if your not comfortable launching your boat in a big crowd i would get to the ramp real early and put your boat in then just go get back in your truck till daylight so you can run safe as with any big tournament you will run into some bootyholes just don't let them ruin the day go to have fun and you will love it i have been fishing fork from the 80s when it opened and it is still a great place to go after all the years good luck hope you make it down
ps i would call now to get a place to stay it will book up fast i always stay at the minnow bucket have friends there

Thanls for the reply. If I do come down I have family in Ore City and Hallsville. I will probably stay with them and drive to the lake.

Got the mailer a couple days ago. Hopefully I can make it down there this year...had to miss last year do to work/new baby. I usually make a week long trip out of it so I can enjoy the lake for a few days before the 800+ boats show up. Good time for sure!! Look forward to that week every year!!!
