    Question on Battery Charger

    I have a 2005 TZX 200.
It has a 3 bank battery charger.
It's rather cold in PA so I plugged it in today to charge the batteries.

There are 3 sets of lights on the charger. The group of lights on either end came on as usual, 3 or 4 red lights working towards the green.

The middle set of lights, only 1 light lit up and it is blinking.

Can any one tell me if this indicates a problem or was one battery just very low?

Re: Question on Battery Charger (Newt)

    Sorry for the double post.
My first one didn't show up on my computer.
I waited an hour and still didn't see it.

What Brand of Charger...Dual Pro or MinnKota? That's about the time Skeeter switched to MinnKota Chargers.

The charger says "Three Bank Charger - SPortsman Edition".

Re: Question on Battery Charger (Newt)

either the in line fuse is blown or the battery is below 8volts and the charger will not charge it, load test the battery and determine battery condition and if you think it can be charged back up you will have to connect it to a different charger and bring it up some before the on board will recognize it and charge

You can also switch leads to confirm if it's the bank or the battery and then take it from there.

Re: Question on Battery Charger (SkeeterJohn)

    The fuses were fine.
I used my large charger to put a charge on all the batteries.

I then plugged the on board charger back in and it seems to be working fine now.

    Thanks for the help.
