Best Color Combo

Hello, I am new to this forum so forgive me if I start something that has already beed discussed.

Nonetheless, I am looking at buying my first Skeeter. I found one I like on-line (have not seen it in person...yet) but I am concerned with the color combo. What is everyones opinion of the best color combo on a Skeeter? And what do you think of a candy apple red as the primary and a gold/wheet color for the secondary and interior? Also, is a 200 hp VMax to much motor for this boat?

I did that but I am looking at used boats. I am going to look at this red/gold boat on Friday morning but it is quite a drive. I guess I am looking for some imput on what colors look nice and which ones do not. Any opinion inputs would be appreciated.

Most of the Skeeters I see are a combination of red, white and black, or black white and silver.

Alot of boats are custom orders by the original owner so the sky is the limit.

The ones I have seen in that color combo look nice. I love red. My Skeeter was Red & Burgandy before it got totalled. You should go to the "Skeeter Owners" page and look over the combos to see if you can find one like the one you are talking about. (See "Post a pic of your Skeeter...") at the top of the Skeeter forum)

The Red, White, and Black color schemes are my favorite Skeeter colors...but as you can see by mine and the one above even that can very from boat to boat...

Whatever color you like is what you should buy!

You need to check the Coast Guard sticker on the boat that tells what the max horsepower is, as I believe the SL 190 is rated for 175 maximum. If you get a boat that is overpowered, you may have some insurance and hull warranty issues.

By the way, you can have the hull warranty transferred to you as the second owner, and it will be covered for 10 years from the original purchase date.

Thanks for the input. fyi: Some SL190 are rated to 200 HP. Probably the older ones since the one I went to buy was a 2001. The color was gorgous but the guy was not upfront about the condition of the interior. It was junk. So no skeeter, yet. Thanks again for your input...I appreciate it.

Don't give up hope....your looking at the right time of the year and with the economy the way it is you should be able to find a deal to suit you....

Which ever color you go with, consider the resale value if you ever decide to sell or trade it in. I work in the car business and color can play a huge role on how much you will get back. Keep it simple.
