Gasoline on my carpet...

Anyone know of a way to get out the smell of gasoline on bass boat carpet?? I spilled some (about 1 cup) on my carpet and it stinks. I flushed it for about 20 minutes with water but it still smells horrible.

might try Zep's Orange degreaser....can buy it at home depot, or even Simple Green, but the orange smells much better than Simple Green IMO. It should be absolutely fine, but I'd try it on a test area first

Use under arm deodorant, the spray kind and whatever scent you like.....

A match?????? Just kidding I wonder if Simple Green would help but it might stain carpet.
