    Considering a Skeeter Buy..

Had a 92 Ranger, and I've had motor problems over and over again.

I may sell the hull of the boat after stripping off the electronics/Tm.

I have been looking at the ZX225s. I have found an '04 that I really like, may go look at it this weekend, am looking to buy in the next few weeks.

What would be the value of an '04 ZX 225 that is basically flawless in terms of gelcoat (was wrapped)?

Also, for anyone that has Structurescan, where is the best/easiest/safest way to put the LSS-1 Unit on a boat like this?

Will probably have more questions later.

    Thanks

Don't know about anything else but on the Structure Scan I would put the box in the rod box and buy the LSS bracket from Scap @ transducer shield n saver. The worst part will be running your wires.

An '04 ZX225 in great shape can be had for $18,000-24,000 easy depending on accessories.

None that I can think of. If I remember right that is the last year with the chrome rails on the hull near the rear deck. It is a fishing machine with good performance as well.

It's a gorgeous boat from the pictures I have seen. Will hopefully see more this weekend. Guy says only problem with boat is a little wear on seats, but that can be fixed easily.

Worst case just buy new ones from Skeeter or simply drop a couple hundred dollars and have them recovered locally.

The boat has a motor cover, but no boat cover. It will be kept under a shed, but I'd still like a cover, either for when away from town fishing tournaments or just to put on under shed (shed has sides and long enough to cover boat).

Who makes the best cover? Or would skeeter be my best bet? Does Skeeter's covers have vents?

Aurora is your best bet for a cover...but you will pay for it. However it will last.

You will not regret moving into a ZX225...one of the best all around bass boats out there...

I've got a buddy that has an 05 ZX 225 that's going up for sale. It's got an 1197 and 998 on the bow, dual console and all options for around 25k. He's picking up a new FX today so he might be a little motivated! He's also got a brand new aurora cover that's never been used that comes with it.

I fished a bunch out of Jimmy Everett's boat, which I believe was an '04 ZX225. A really nice fishing platform, IMHO. If I didn't have a storage situation which only allows me a 190 boat, I'd own one like that.

The 04 225's are great boats, the only problem I had was with the seats. I think you will be happy wwith it.
