    Help with electrical problem

I have a 2004 ZX225. Occasionally my main power switch will shut off. Usually about once a day. It has happened when I'm running down the lake and it's happened when I'm trolling and fishing. Can anyone point me where to start looking for his problem? It still has the factory dash. Other than the above problem nothing else has gone wrong with the dash. Battery connection is good and solid with no corrison or looseness.

I think Skeeter had problems with some dash panels and were replacing some. Hopefully someone will check in who is in the know.

I've read all the threads about the dash panels and have actually saved some of the info for future reference. Hopefully, this isn't about that but maybe someone who has had panel problems will chime in. Thanks Rodney.

Do you have the dash panel with rubber membrane? If so there are definitely issues with that dash panel. I have the same year and model boat as you and mine started off intermittently turning off, until final it just wouldn't turn back on. I checked connections, reset the breakers and disconnected the battery to try and reset. I finally called skeeter and they sent a new dash panel, bezel, harness and breaker panel to replace the "old style" for free. Boat was not under warranty, although this was three years ago. The one they sent out was a new style that they used in newer boats, I think like 06 and newer. I did here of people on hear recently who had to pay for the parts, I think around 800.00 dollars.

It sounds like the same issues, I would call Skeeter.

Yes, it has the rubber membrane. I was afraid of that. Is the phone number posted as a sticky still correct? 903-984-0541 or 800-SKEETER

    Thanks.

I am willing to bet the dash pannel is shot or close to it. Call Skeeter and see if they will replace for you.
