Tackle organizing question in boat compartment

Just got into an '05 TZX-200 and I must say that I am extremely happy that there is a ton more storage than my SX-190. Unfortunately, the two center tackle storage compartments didn't come with built-in dividers or anything to keep the typical 3700 size boxes organized.

Anyone have a good after-market solution??

Buy enough 3700's to take up the space. I lable mine and can fit 10-12 vertically in there just fine.

I don't like leaving loose boxes on my compartments, so I use the Bass Cat tackle storage trays. They fit in perfectly. You can fit a large and a small in each center compartment. They hold the plano 3700 boxes and have a strap so you can take them out (loaded) with one hand. I have also had the Plano Pro Stow systems, and they don't compare to these. I use them in my forward storage compartment.

If you like to use spinnerbaits I would suggest a cooks to go tackle system too. I have a pic of both in my boat

here's the cooks to go system in my boat:

here is a large and a small Basscat tray with planos in my forward compartment:

The small shopping baskets you use at lowe's will work. two will just fit, side by side in the front compartment, if you hold your mouth right. Of course....first you have to steal two shopping baskets from Lowe's.

Filing storage racks from Staples or Office Depot. Made of plastic and 3700 fit perfect. About 10 bucks each.

Re: Tackle organizing question in boat compartment (blackknife)

I spend time reducing my bait load then start fudging for a few weeks till I get a grip on myself...bad habit of 3 days worth of baits for a 1 day event...about 4 boxes in each of the 2 main center compartments is how I roll now...seem to do better in events also...

What did Gary Klein say??...."The guy to fear is the one with a cigar box of confidence baits he has used for years, not the guy with huge tackle boxes."

Well, times have changed so we need 3 cigar boxes but I had a dozen so culled down some so I could plane up...lol.
