    storage compartment?

    I have a 05 ZX225 and am looking for a way to keep the storage compartment lid propped open on the small tackle tray area just in front of the drivers side counsel. Any ideas are appreciated. This lid has slammed on my wrist more times than I care to remember.

    Thanks, I'll have to check that out. I bought my boat new and it didn't come with anything to keep that lid open.

    If it doesn't have the brackets for the struts, you can get the struts and brackets at Cabela's.

    I have an '05 TZX 200 and it didn't have the struts on that compartment either.

    damn....wish I had that little compartment on my TZX190!

    check the ones in the other compartments, and match it. when you install it, measure the placing of the mounting brackets in one of your compartments that has one. There's lots of places you can buy the gas struts too. Autozone, and most auto parts places has them, lots of online stores etc. theyre also listed in the top of the forum under "parts & stuff" or click on the link below:

    I'm not sure, they had a chart in the catalog that cross referenced length with lbs.
    You might be able to see it on their website.

    I'll check it out in the morning and post a copy of the chart if you can't find it.

    I sent you an IM with my email. Send me an email in the morning, I'll scan the page from the catalog and email it to you.

    Re: storage compartment? (flippenstick)

    Gary,
    I looked at my shocks on the other compartments this morning. The Number on them was SPD-GSNI-5000-40 and it listed a website http://www.spdhardware.com
    I found them on the website on this page http://www.spdhardware.com/cat...24413}

    The are 10" open and 7" closed and it appears that they are 40 lb struts, I think that's what the 40 stands for.

    Re: storage compartment? (Newt)

    Thanks for checking that out for me. I called my Skeeter dealer this morning and ordered the shock and the brackets I need for mounting. Lenny ordered several styles of brackets so we make sure I get the correct ones for my application.

    You're not the only one without one on that compartment. My 05 also doesn't have one which can be annoying at times. I'll probably add one sometime too.
