    performance "upgrade" question

What can be done to a 175 fast strike to make more HP and better top end speed? Seems like everyone does stuff to the mercs but I never hear of anything for the OMC's. Thanks

Monty Racing seems to have a package to help these
motors. There's not a lot that can be done. Steve

Nitrous comes to mind but the year & model would help...a lot.

I didn't think there was alot that could be done to these motors. But thats ok, it gets me from point A to point B just fine and when I am catching fish the big motor ain't runnin' anyway. I was just wondering, thanks for the replies.

he's right Monty can get you an extra 12 hp just by sending your heads to him and he will send you the larger jets for high spped on carbs. all for less than 200.00. or you can go all out and send him the motor and he'll get you a little over 210 hp out of that puppy. for around 1900.00 tghat include 3 dyno prinouts.

I had the article, I believe the site is www. montyracing.com
For the price of a rebuild he could get 210 ponies out of her if you didn't need new pistons or something like that, not sure of the pricing but he says that will still be a reliable engine too!!

That was my next question, whether or not it would still be reliable.
