Retainer Clip attachment point for 81 Johnson 7.5 J8RCIC

I found a u-shaped clip and screw in bottom of my motor. In looking at the various carburetor diagrams for the engine, this part seems to attach in the area of the throttle linkage. Unfortunately the diagrams do not show where this clip attaches. I have looked all around the trottle linkage area and can't see where it goes.

Could someone send me a picture or instructions on how/where to attach this clip.

Found it!!

It was the retainer clip for the choke rod. Hard to see that something was missing with the air intake attached.
