Still trying to get my 93sv dialed in. Here is a shot of a roadbed with a house foundation.
Couple of photos from the last two days fishing. 455-800 kHz si and ps30-gt22 di. Finally got the down imaging dialed in.
well. How do you upload ping files? Says it will use them. Loose a lot of definition when convert to gif. Not worth posting. Very blurred.
2 hours later.....still can't get si pic in here

File upload is a pain. I have to use the "Basic Uploader" or it doesnt work. Then drag pics around to get them to show up. I forget the details and have to figure it out all over again each time ;(
I have some from yesterday I want to post but I do that later. I'll add details after I figure it out again :)

Here are a few shots from a recent salt water trip to Puget Sound looking for Ling Cod. No lings, but we had fun anyway.
This first few shots show how bait balls look with the PS21, traditional sonar and sidevu. Its only the PS21 that really gives you a good idea of the size of the bait ball. Some of the bait balls we saw were over 100 feet long and 50 feet thick! You dont really get any idea of the true size using traditional or sidevu sonar.
In this one the herring were jumping all around the boat.
here is one in traditional sonar
And sidevu

Here are a few more from around the Tacoma Narrows Bridge - Galloping Gertie - that collapsed into Puget Sound back in 1940. This used to be a hot Ling Cod area due to the rocky bottom plus all the structure from the collapsed bridge. Its also the best spot in the Sound to loose fishing gear due to snags! We lost more gear as always and no fish in the box.
This is what one of the concrete tower supports looks like on the PS21.
This is what one piece of bridge debris looks like on traditional sonar
Here is the same thing on downvu. Im pretty sure all that fuzz hanging off the sides is fishing tackle - a lot of it mine!
Same area on sidevu
A couple more in the same general area

thats cool.....wish I could get the ps21 viewing cone to work. Never seen it till now. My calibration always faults on the tm. Only seem to get around 85 % spin quality and around 18% magnetic interference.
Yeah, the owners manual says it may not calibrate when TM mounted. Its kind of handy having the cone show up in the screen shots but not all that useful when on the water. I can already easily see which way its pointing.
Plus, if you are sitting still or going very slow, the GPS wont be able to calculate a good Heading for the boat. When that happens, the cone will point all over the place because the calculated "heading" keeps changing because of GPS errors. You would need a Heading sensor to have it work when stopped or going very slowly.

Thanks Troy. I'll keep looking. Part of my problem is I have a slooooow internet connection and all those adds loading slows it down even more.

Maybe try chrome and an add blocker?
Here are a few shots from a recent trip to a small lake near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - Killarney Lake. Its a relatively shallow lake with lots of weed beds around the edges - which is where we were looking - unsuccessfully - for pike. We had heard that there might be some crappie near a small island so when we got tired of not catching pike, we tried that for a while. Turns out there were lots of crappie and small perch in that area. You can see from the following screen shots why! There must be a few thousand board feet of timber submerged in that small area. I would have guessed there would be bass and pike in there too but you couldnt prove it by us. All we caught were 9"-10" crappie and 3" perch!
