If you are as persnickety about your engine as I am about mine, then in my opinion, it is a good idea. However, some will say they would not bother. After installing temperature sensors on both heads and adding a gauge for each head on mine, I found that I needed to replace both thermostats, both were running cold.

You are more than welcome. This is my answer for temperature concerns for my engine. I do a lot of idling and temperature will creep up quickly while idling if anything is amiss. Therefore, I can monitor both heads and water pressure at the same time.
