2007 ZX PANEL

My console panel went out out yesterday on my zx190 i turned on my locator and i when off tried it again and went off again the it would not turn on at all the panel lights are all working but nothing would work i lost bilge, recirc, fill, the bow trim switch, both locators light, anc/nav lights. checked all fuses and connectors at panel all good the panel had power going in but none coming out. finally after unplugging the back of the panel 3-4 times it started to work and worked the rest of the time out. anyone every have the same problem with the newer panel style i heard the old one had a recall. i hope they recall this one if it has problems my boat is out of warranty?

I was just asking if this was a problem. Hmmm..... A local dealer was saying that this was a problem on some ZX boats.......

called my dealer today they said have had some issues with the panels but im out of warranty so they are going to e-mail skeeter about it. Hopefully they will goodwill the repair for me. As a automotive mechanic this is the dumbest setup i have ever seen to run everything into the panel like that and have nothing work when it fails, the back of the circuit board is exposed and not even covered or sealed this is a boat it will get wet at times. Well thats enoff venting and hopefully skeeter steps up and fixes it.

Skeeter told my dealer i can purchase the parts at retail That sure was nice of them they have lost me as a customer and i have two fishing partners that are not impressed with their customer service. but oh well it drives and fishes great just never know if the panel will work i will probally take it a part and look for the bad spot in the board.

skeeter has been having problems with there touch panels for about 4yrs now that's why the new 2010 models have old reliable rocker switches

Well i left skeeter and very nasty message and and the warranty manger call me today. we found out that my dealer and the warranty lady handling my claim is dumb and my boat is still under warranty so my control panel is covered. my seats are out of warranty by over a year but he is going to send me free skins and i have to put them on. Also i asked about a bilge pump that went out last year my dealer told me the warranty on the pumps is only a year and mine was out of warranty so had to buy it, he told me they are covered for 3 years and if i send him the receipt he will refund me. so not to bad. makes me happy. P.S if the panel goes out again im going make a custom panel with rocker switches and be done with it.

I am having the same issues with my panel, but it is a much older one (2002). After talking with the two nearest dealers to me and getting the run-around, I called Darby at Skeeter directly. He was very friendly and sent the necessary parts to get everything work and also sent 3 shirts and hats because one piece was on back order and it took about 3 weeks to get here (it was overnighted after the part arrived to Skeeter). Turns out they sent one wrong piece, and I called them again and spoke with a woman named Maria and also to her boss Robert. Both were very helpful and I have a new piece on the way.

I wish Skeeter would deal more directly with their customers because I have been very pleased with their service thus far. When I was going through the dealers, I almost swore off of Skeeter because they ticked me off so bad.

my 2007zx had the same problem ever time a little moisture was there. called skeeter and they sent me a new panel, it just plugs in, two nuts holding it. so far so good with new one , give skeeter a call, with a little pursuation, I told them my dealer was 100 miles away and couldnt get to the dealer.
