    humminbird 700 series

    Anyone......
I am hoping you can answer a few questions.
I am looking at the new 788c 5" screen for the front deck of my rig. Just wondering if you have a 700 series up front or if you have a 900 series?
I currently love the 900 series I have on the console but I like the price tag of the 788c for the trolling motor.
Just wondering if you have or had used a 700 series and how you liked it.
it would not be the SI model, just the basic dual cone 640x640 pixel and gps.
Would the interlink module run between the 937c and the 788c? as I was thinking of getting that as well
    Thanks for your help.

I've got a 797SI at the console and a 787 at the bow. Both are hooked together with the Humminbird Interlink system. Great units, I have no complaints at all about either of them. I would love to have a 900 or 1100 series SI unit, but have don't want something mounted on the side of the console on a ram mount.

I run a 797c2 and 1197c currently on my 2008 Skeeter 20i and love them. I have them interlinked. I would like the bigger screen up front but me and my roll casts do damage to free standing units. I can see them fine and the new bigger screen on the 788c will be even better. I go to play with a 798c and absoluetely loved it and the screen size.

    Guys,
thanks for your advice. I played with a 788c at Cabelas in the twin cities yesterday.
It was one heck of a nice unit. I laked theat they added the favorites buttons to it like my 937c.
the 640x640 pixel screen looked really nice.
I will have to make the purchase sometime before iceout

I argued with myself on the same issues, decided to go with the 788c to start on the Bow. Got the 997si on the console. I think I can handle that and if I get bored with that, I will upgrade the 788 to 1197.

I do like the 788 unit a lot.
