Has anyone installed a Power Pole on thier Skeeter?

And if so do you have any photos of where you put the pump and electrical components?

I did on a 2006 zx250. I put the bracket and pump in between the port battery and the oil tank / battery charger. I mounted the electrical relay box on the bottom of the livewell overflow hose with two tie straps. I mounted the remote control box on the other overflow hose with two tie straps. I installed this in April of 2008 and never had a problem yet. After I mounted the L bracket for the pump to mount to I then loosened the battery enough to move it to the left to get the bolts in to mount the pump. There is not a lot of clearance between the battery and the bolt heads.

After looking in the battery compartment I pretty much understand what your saying as far as pump location. When I lay the mounting plate down it spans the aluminum plate that covers the bilge and the fiberglass riser the batteries sit on. Orginally I bought two poles to put in but now am thinking that one will work just fine.

I was going to get another pole but after using the one I feel it is fine. I have fished out of a boat that had two poles and there is times when it makes it nice but I just use the trolling motor to kick the bow right or left when I need to. Also the only other place to put the other pump would be maybe in one of the rear compartments and I did not want to do that.

Yeah I have been seriously thinking about putting the pumps in one of my storage compartments. I can easily run the hyd. lines through a small hole drilled in the side along with all the electrical. I would make for good ballast too seeing my starboard fuel tank drains so much quicker.

I installed one on my ZX 250. We were able to fit the pumps in the rear storage. Very Tight as I also had another pump for the hydraulic jack plate. I love the power pole and find it very useful in many applications.

I ended up installing them in the rear port stroage dept. ran the electrical and Hyd lines out of a hole I drilled thru the plastic. After I finished everything I took the heavy duty foam material they pack the poles in and cut them to fit around the pumps inside the compartment to reduced any vibrations from long runs. They work like a dream and have already cashed a check with them in use.
