Just wondering how big of a job it is? And if anyone has done it can you give me some details??? It is on a 2003 EZ Loader tandem axle that pulls a ZX250. Found a REAL bad scratch/gouge on the right side of my boat today and figured out it came from the da*@ fender well where the carpet has worn through leaving the metal to show through.
Easy job! My wood was rotten. So I launched the boat, tied it up and cut and carpeted new bunk boards in the parking lot. Marine grade ply, contact cement, and carpet. Hard to get to the screws if the boats on the trailer. Good Luck
I agree...very easy. I did my previous trailer's bunks and fender guards. Although that was nitro, the trailer is very similar to my Skeeter trailer. I coated the metal guard and the backside of the carpet with glue (do NOT use water based glue) until it was nearly dry, applied the two, folded over (glued the edges on other side), and let it set for about an hour. I put it back on with new steel rivets and was quite pleased with the results. Good luck.
