    Slow Boat Sales

My partner and I were discussing this today. How many of you guys that sell every year are having a lil harder time than normal getting rid of your boats? There seem to be a good many pretty good deals on one year old boats. Seems to be a buyers market but are there many people out there buying?

Also, how many guys are looking at these boats with the interest in buying a new or one year old boats??

    Anyway, just curious!!!!!!

Re: Slow Boat Sales (SX 180)

I picked up my 05 ZX225 last may but being from Ontario i can see how many canadian buyers probably wouldn't buy from the US right now given the exchange rate is so poor.

When i bought my boat the dollar was at par but now you're looking at a 25% premium. Doing the math my boat would now cost me $8k more in exchange rate and additional taxes.

What you want for it. I have people looking for that range, just not new. IM me if you want.

Then I'll work you a deal on a new one too.

Re: Slow Boat Sales (SX 180)

It's a little slower but the market is still good. The new boats have some added incentives and that's probably hurting the 1 and 2 year old boat sales a little but I'm not seeing a drastic change. There's still alot of buyers looking. I get contacts everyday. My home dealer sold 14 boats last weekend. The hot market is the $20,000 used 20' boat. They are actually looking for more trades because they have buyers.

Might be a good time to trade up with the extra incentives and a good used boat market.

Re: Slow Boat Sales (Jason Hale)

Alot of boats were sold this year at our annual fishing expo. Alot of dealers were very surprised. Think the numbers were even higher than past years.
