    #4 injector getting HOT! HELP

    I have a 2003 225 HO already discussed on this board
    # 4 injector getting hot do not know whats wrong what would do it?
    Model: E225FHLSTAHP: 225
    Serial No.: 05031402

    Have you hook up to the EMM to see any codes posted? Or is this the only thing you have to go on.

    it said open circuit # 4 injector. code 54 any thoughts

    Did you check the wiring and take a resistance reading yet?

    If it does have an open circuit, it wouldn't be getting hot.

    thats is what the code read. now could that mean a messed up emm or what>?

    Anything is possible that is why BRP dealers spend a bunch of money sending their techs to school to get trained. If you feel confident in your trouble shooting skills and believe that you know the DFI motor well enough then by all means tackle the problem. If not then leave it to the dealer's service staff.

    i gotcha well i dropped it off today in N Augusta at Holdon I-20 Marine. He supposed to be trained and well knowing of the motors. I went there and he said he has delt with the problems on the dfi and that they are weird at times so hopefuully hell get me turned around
