My trailer was a complete piece of s**t. The fenders, steps and even cross supports were all tack welded together. Nothing more than that. So I took it to a local welder and told him to just "go to town" and weld everything properly.

The wiring is going to be your next problem. Wires shorting when the insulation is rubbed where it's laying across sharp bare metal. Wait for it.
