Hi all. Just bought an old and very rough 85 SF175. Has an old 150 Black Max on it. I plan on making it live again! just got some of the loose floor yanked up, and want to remove the old water soaked foam, then re-floor/glass, etc. etc. No, I don't want to "pop the top". I'll post some pics tomorrow. This site is great! Lots of good info!
Not trying to be negative, but if you don't remove the top you can't repair all that is wrong with that boat.

Yes, I know. It's a mess, for sure. However, I don't plan on using it for anything other than a ride down the local river, once in awhile, just for giggles. If it folds in half and sinks, at least I won't have to haul it off! Ha! But really, what started all this, was I was looking for a motor for a 19' Manatee that a friend gave me. I'll probably take the 150 XR2 off of the Skeeter, and put it on the Manatee, and be able to give the Skeeter a bit more attention than I had originally planned.
