Re: EZ Loader Trailers having excessive tire wear (kicker-fish)

Lyn at UFP contacted me as well. And did take care of my axle problems, as he said he would. It`s just the run around you sort of get going through the channels before getting to Lyn at UFP and the time and money spent trying to solve the problem that`s a hassle. I have used UFP products for years with very few problems, and they have always stood by them for me. It is nice to have this information posted here, but the way a lot of guys have to deal with it is through their dealer and know nothing about what trailer components are made by UFP or how to contact them. So, thanks to Lyn and all those who stand behind their products.

EZ Loader Trailers - 2 pointers for starters

Don't get me started on EZ Loader...they could at least use SS lugbolts on their boards...in a year they are rusted a ton on TWO rigs bought 6 years apart...pop rivets tacky and rattle so I drilled them out and replaced them with 3/4 inch 10/32 screw in bolts with loc nuts on the bottom...
just be on the lookout for early problems and expect to have them...
maybe somebody can benefit from my post.

Re: EZ Loader Trailers having excessive tire wear (kicker-fish)

The tire wear is not the only problems that Ez loader is having. The front bow post leans away from the boat and if you load in rough or extreme wind the bow of the boat hits the metal post and damages the bumber rubber or the actual boat. They also have a lot of problems with the carpet on the top of the loading board sides. It tears and unlike Ranger who makes their own, Mr Young of Skeetr. will tell you to call EZ loader. These two problems have caused a lot of problems . On most boat trailers the forward post leans toward the loading boat to protect this from happening. They also uae 2 by 4's on their trailers instead of 2 by 6's as other trailer companys do . Ez loader cut their cost and doesn't care- never forget that Skeeter builds nothing , it's contracted out and if you need a part .even a five year old part you are out of luck. The trailers are cheap and many dealers in the Texas area are buying other trailers to put the boats on. Don't have a wiring problem either-- you have the whole length of the trailer to guess where it is since it is inside the tubing- Skeeter .under the new management has worlds of problems besides the trailers- Believe me I know first hand

Re: EZ Loader Trailers having excessive tire wear (TonyMc)

I also had a problem with my EZ-Loader trailer 5 months after purchasing my boat. The fenders rubbed on the tires on the highway and the debris that kicked up caused the fender to dent from underneath and the paint to bubble and fender to rust. The dealer (almost 200 miles away from me) would do nothing other than tell me to bring it down so they could see it. I brought it to another dealer locally, who sent an assessment to my dealer and to EZ-Loader (Larry) to confirm the axle was the issue and the fenders needed to be replaced. Their response, nothing we can do. "how do we know the owner didn't run over something to cause the problem" - CRAZY. Symmetrical marks on both fenders of a BRAND NEW trailer and they would do nothing but send me paint to re-do the work. $600 out of my own pocket to replace and raise the fenders (couldn't afford the axle work) and I have not had an issue since. I love my Skeeter, but hate my dealer. If I buy another Skeeter, I will absolutely NOT take an EZ-Loader as the trailer. Sorry, this struck a nerve :-D.
