jack plate mounted Humminbird 797 Si transducer (pics)

thanks to Eddie Kendric's guidence and pics, I was told what I needed to do to properly mount the transducer for a 797 side imaging unit on the jack plate of a Skeeter TZX 190. I know the transducer in the pics is not the same, or as big as the 997 or 1197 units, but I have contacted Humminbird about potential interference and they are sending me an interference kit that includes the bigger nickel plated transducer that the other units use.

Does Humminbird have a SI unit that would fit in the dash of a 2008 ZX (hole made for a regular size Lowrance). I have been kicking around the idea of putting one in there. I have a X28 RAM mounted so I could mount it in that hole if it would fit.

The Humminbird 700 Series are the same size as the cut-outs in the Skeeter both bow and console. Same as 520 x135.

    Neil,

The 797 will fit. It is an option to be mounted in the console now.

I hope you don't mind but I pirated one of your pics. I have one of these on my boat and was wondering what it is? I'm assuming it's a temp sensor for the in dash flasher...is that correct???

That is the Auxillary Temp Probe or it can be the Temp Pigtail for a Shoot Thru Hull 2D Transducer. That way you get more accurate readings of water temperature.

Thanks. Is there a way to disconnect it from my indash flasher and connect it to the 520C I have at my console...it doesn't currently show temp.
