    help with bilge pumps

i have an 06 zx225 and none of the bilge pumps work. The lights come on when i hit the switch but they dont turn on. so i cut the power wires by the pump and took it out. i touched them direccctly to the battery and the pump turned on. Would my problem be the switch on the dash? Would it still be covered under warranty?

Hard to say for sure. You'll have to contact your dealer. Skeeter has taken care of a lot of the dash issues if that is what it turns out to be but no one on the forum can say for sure whether warranty will cover it.

The indicator light on the switch is independent of the pump circuit. I'm not entirely familiar with your ZX225. Does the switch have 2 (on/off) or 3 (on/off/auto) positions? Have you checked the fuse?

You posted "bilge pumps", but is this the bilge pump or livewell pumps?

Did you recheck the fuse after it would not come on again? If its blown again then there is something wrong with your pump.

problem solved for now. i got them to work it turns out that it was a fuse. My boat has a fuse panel underneath the dash and back by the battery compartment. now if i can get the auto bilge switch to work!

Have you inspected the bilger float switch for debris?

I would strongly suggest when you wire in the float switch that you only wire it in on one pump (this way if they switch is stuck in the on position you don't burn up both pumps by mistake).
