    Real Money is for Real!!!!

We had 2 more customers win Real Money sanctioned tournaments this weekend.
Congratulations to Bryan Montgomery for his win Saturday in the Cedar City Bass Angler tournament on Old Hickory , and Tad Jenkins and Chad Fulgham on their win on Sunday on Percy Priest in Tennessee Team Bass Trail. This brings the total winnings from Real Money to just under $100,000.00 for our dealership alone since it started in 2006. This just goes to show that Real Money is for Real.

Congrats to your guys they are really taking advantage of the Real Money Program. The most awesome thigs is it only takes 60 Anglers + 30 Boats in a buddy tournament to win up to $3000. Skeeter has laid Millions of dollars on the table to win.

The new BASS Federation program also expands this offering even more. Unlike some programs that have high angler qualifications or the money's allocated to professional level events. Skeeter pays the retail buyers more and easier!

Win a couple Real Money Events and you could afford to upgrade sooner!

Not as good as Nitro's new payback program! But hey I like everything about the skeeter boats and prefer them over a Nitro anyday. I will never have to worry about payback programs anyways - Not able to catch enough fish to be worth a darn in a tourney -

Nitro doesn't have as many tournaments that qualify (not even close), requires twice as many entrants, and requires a much more expensive boat purchase to qualify for the top tier. The Nitro program also does not qualify for owners of older boats. The Nitro numbers sound good, but only have a few qualified tournamnets in our State; not to mention, I have no desire to buy a Nitro.

I had $9,000.00 of Real Money winnings last year, none of which tournaments I qualified through were listed in the Nitro program this year (under the Nitro program, I would have won $0). Personally, I'd rather have more tournaments eligible at less money than more money but less tournaments available for eligibility.

Why do you say that? The initail up front costs are less for Skeeter Real Money. Maybe they offer more if you win but with limited opportunties and large participation requirments. It lowers your odds of winning. I would rather have a 1 in 30 chance than 1 in 60 for full pay-out.

I learned the hard way last year that it costs you when you forget to send in the Real Money registration. Its only a mistake you'll make once.

John - This is true that skeeter has more tournaments sanctioned but with the new Basspro shops popping up everywhere there will be more and more push on Nitro sanctuioned tournaments - Plus a sales rep told a very good angler friend of mine who is a skeeterteam member and wins his fair share of $ that if he bought a Nitro boat he would make sure all Got2loveit tournaments are eligiable. And the Hoosier open tournaments are eligiable already. So that means once the right anglers start buying then old Johnny Morris will start Paying. It is just a matter of knowing the right people to help pull the strings on that deal.

As my angler friend said a boat is just a tool to help you get to the fish - The payback programs is what will influence the top local(Non Pro) anglers to buy NEW boats. Guys like me could care less - I just fish small clubs which are not eligiable for anything and charity tournaments in which I have a fat chance of winning .

However if I were ever to fall into $ - the first boat I would buy is a Skeeter I Class - you cann't beat the looks and the ride of a I Class.

Doug - lets face it - the real $ program is an incentive for people to buy new boats and if you are spending almost 50 grand on a boat then what is few thousand $ if you know you can get that back in the first 2 or 3 tournaments anyways.

And as far as odds go the more anglers you have in a tournament around here the more $ it pays back. The good anglers who have it figured out and are always in the top 10 love for more boats to show because it is just more $ for them. At least that is the way my angler friend sees it, who wins well over 15 grand a year off of one lake here in Indiana.

I think I would take my odds with 30 Boat Event Paying $1000 for First and getting $3000 Real Money Incentive versus a 200 Boat Event that pays a boat you have to sell and $3000 Real Money. 1 in 30 odds for $4000 versus 1 in 200 odds to deal with a boat you have to sell, that is taxed at MSRP. Ususally the bigger events have bigger entry fees to.

We have a bunch of Small Circuits here that average 30 to 40 boats $60 to $100 Entry fee for 2 people to $1000 + $3000. That's great odds and Great Return on Investment. I'd love to have those odds at Vegas. To me the more you get the more odds that someone will get lucky and beat you out of the Real Money. With a 30 boat field you only have 29 with 200 boats you have 199. That's almost 7 times more odds of a chance to lose.

I agree Doug, I fished in the tournament Saturday that Bryan won, we had 60 some odd boats in it and he won a little over $4000.00 with a $50.00 entry fee. I will take those odds anytime. BTW I finished 7th and there was also a Skeeter owner Obiggen on BBC that finished 2nd.

With Skeeter you have to win it all (1st place) or nothing - With Nitro you just have to get in the top 10 to earn some $ back. But I get your point. Not really compareing apples to apples when your talking odds to win 1st place Vs odds to place in the top 10.

You also don't get all of Nitros money for a top ten finish. I don't know about you, but I don't go to a tournament to finish in the top ten. I go to win.

Re: Real Money is for Real!!!! (Jason Hale)

If you have a boat more than 2 years old it pays the same as skeeter. But with skeeter you have to finish 1st and with Nitro you just have to finish in the top 10. - Guys just admit it that it would pretty cool to have a program just like Nitros. But hey skeeter has a good program too and it is better than nothing.

Skeeter pays no matter what year the boat is. Don't think anyone else does.

Bass Cat has the best bonus money program. Any year cat owner enters once and is in for life. No seperation in money for what year your boat is. The Pierce Family has got their stuff together. So if you gonna wish wish for a program like theirs not nitros.

This has to do with the Skeeter guys how? I think most of us are pretty happy with the Real Money deal. I have no interest in running another brand so their contingency has no bearing for me.

Had another customer win $3,000.00 Saturday. Congrats Ashley Hayes on winning the B.I.T.E. tournament on Center Hill. BTW, this tournament trail was not a part of BassCats bonus program and if it was, you could have only won $500.00 if I read their program correctly.
