03 tzx190 value- something doesn't look right.

I'm looking at a used boat and need a little help with the value.

2003 TZX190 w/ 175 HPDI yamaha

Here's my question. It's on the general bassboat topics as well.

I need a little help with the value of the 03 TZX190. NADA has it base priced almost the exact same as an SX190. The 02 ZX190 is has a base price several thousand more than the 03 TZX190. I thought that the two boats were the same.

Can someone explain this.

The ZX has all the bells and whistels.....hulls are different....nope, not the same boat.

I heard the hulls are the same but the TZX skimps on features...I would only stick with the ZX series

The TZX and the ZX are the same boat they just dropped the T in 2005 and it has a different hull, has a wider beam, has dual gas tanks, come with a jackplate on it and a larger casting deck than the SX which is a little cheaper boat.

I don't think so. One of the main differences is the TZX does not have a touch pad. It has manual switches. There are probably other differences but the hull is the same as the ZX.

Nope, thats not accurate, tzx and zx are not the same boat.

in 03 and 04 they did not make a zx. only a tzx in the 190 and 200. same hull as the zx but only differences are latches and buttons.

Did anyone actually look at the values from NADA that I linked? THe tzx with a 175 was almost the same base price as an Sx190 with a 150. I can understand a little difference in the tzx and zx, but I'm pretty sure that the tzx is a step up from an sx. Is this correct? Was the 02 zx nicer than the 03 tzx? Should it be valued that much more?

Sounds like NADA is just wrong to me. The 02' zx, and 03' TZX are the same boat (the TZX just being newer). There was a considerable price difference in the 03' sx190 vs. 03'TZX190.

The 03' SX190 with a 150 would have been around 21-22K new with standard equip, and the 03' TZX190 new with a 175hpdi would have been 26-27K (ballpark) with standard equipment.

I sold my 04' TZX190 (with carbed 150) for 20K after 2-years of use, and it was in excellent shape. They are very nice boats.

Edit....The SX190, and TZX190 are NOT the same hull. Totally different hull, and top cap on the boats.

Skeeter changed the tzx 190 and tzx 200 to just zx in 2006. The tzx and the zx are the same boats. They just updated them in 06 as they did all zx boats in 06. The sx is a totally different boat. The sx hulls don't have the zx stringer system and they have a splashwell. The sx is also only rated for a 150 and the tzx is rated for a 175. There is a price difference in the sx and tzx. When I bought my tzx 190 the sx was about 6000 cheaper.

Can I manuever a dual axle trailer in my garage? I'll just need to be able to push it in at an angle and the swing the tongue around.

It's a pain with tandem axle. You can buy a set of wheel dollies that make it very easy.....Simple solution.

I've been told it's easier if you crank the front wheel as high as is will go, it supposedly puts more weight on the back wheels and makes it easier to swing it sideways.

the only difference in the tzx and zx is the switches on the dash and thats it. i have seen a 04 tzx 190 with a 150 for $15,000 and a 03 tzx190 at $17,000 so i would say for the boat you are looking at somewhere in that range.
