Uh oh. Here we go again!

Rusty told me to not do this any more, but here is a pic of Rusty driving the still under development 14' wide bottom Yazoo flatbottom powered by the just released V-12 E-Tec H.O.

    Re: HOLY COW! V12 E-TEC!!!! (1niceStratos)

If BRP really wants to compete with the veropig on offshore style boats then why not a V12. It would come in at about the same weight as the merc and would produce 300hp in it's lowest hp rating. 350 to 400 hp would not even begin to stretch the potential of the V12. The veropig is already stretching itself making 275hp from 2.6lts. It is going to be a high strung motor when it makes 400. A V12 would just be loping along at 400.

A 60 degree V12 would be an even-fire motor and would be increadably smmoooottthh!

A company in Australia made V12 crossflow outboards back in the early eighties. Basically took 2 evinrude 235's and welded them together. So it can be done!

Re: HOLY COW! V12 E-TEC!!!! (Neveredge)

Neveredge do you fish in the canals on the north end of the Cape? I used to live there (moved 5 years ago) and fished them all the time but when I came down this past Dec/Jan. I found that some of the old access areas were gone. Anywhere that you know of that I can put my boat in to fish the north end canals? I don't mind fishing some of the south cape waters but I would like to keep the motor in fresh water. Those snook are fun but you can get some of those tarpon that come into the canals on the north end one cast then get a bass the next so that's what I'm looking forward to do next year when I come down. Thanks for any help.

    Ditto to what Rusty sez,
Dem babies can crank up the HP. The injector was designed to handle 10K and so was the original block design. Think about a 6 banger capable of cranking out 480 hp and not being hurt, and meeting CARB 3 emissions ! They ain't done yet at all you just haven't heard all the stuff they are doing wif that motor. OK, you guys ain't right!! You have got me drooling and my pocketbook already hurting just thinking of a 300 E-TEC. I think I would loose one of my fishing buddies cause the wife sure wouldn't be getting in that boat.
