Evinrude tilt/trim??????

Let me see if I can explain whats going on
two days ago i was out fishing all day with no problem....until i trailered the boat. i tilted the engine up for clearance and then tried to put it into position for my motor toter. But it wouldn't trim up...it would only trim down. I walked away for 15 minutes and tried it again, to my surprise it worked....
Then i was out today and on my way in in i learned that my motor stop trimming down it would only trim up at this point. However this time it will not trim down. (go back to normal?)

So my situation is one day after running all day it wouldn't trim one way and now it wont trim the opposite way(the way that was working from the beginning)


Any answers?

Did you try it at both trim stations or just one? Meaning the motor or the shift lever? Sounds like a bad relay.

yep after a conversation with my mech,. it was a bad relay. Put two new ones on and everything is fine. Thanks for the help

Hey ask your mechanic if you put new relays in and it still doesn't fix it , then what???? my 150 fast strike is doing the same thing, and it still does it even after i have put new relays in. the odd thing is that when it does this, you can take both relays and swap positions of them and it works for a while. thanks
