Can anyone recommend a guide for Lake Fork. Thanks, Charlie.
Can anyone recommend a guide for Lake Fork. Thanks, Charlie.
Guides now days have gotten really expensive, but I've fished with John Tanner and Roy Greer and both work really hard to get you on fish. Roy Greer does it out of YOUR boat, so his rates are cheaper. Roy will tune your electronics and teach you how to fish "vertical" by watching your graph and dropping the lure underneath the boat. Different Technique but very effective in the summer months.
All of them are probably the same if you're fishing the spawn as everyone has a chance at a big fish at Fork during Feb/Mar/April. Here's a couple of web sites to check out.

* I've also heard good things about Mark Mitchell, but I have not fished with him

( Lance Vick )
If you want a good map or CD Map of the lake with fishing tips, try this:
http://www.martinsmap.com/
* the CD has screen shots of the lake before it was flooded, so you can see points and other structure you might not normally know are there.
Hope this helps..

And for the only person guiding on Fork out of an i-class Skeeter call Jason Hoffman.

A fishing buddy uses Jason Hoffman a couple of times a year with the latest being 3 weeks ago and recommends him highly. He says he is a very good fisherman/guide and will keep you laughing most of the day. And fishes out of one of the finest bass boat made, SKEETER.
Good luck.
Try this site it has some guides on it http://www.ets-systems.com/lak...t.htm
Ray Vereen is a buddy of mine as well as a fine guide. Good Guy, give him a call.
He has a great website as well.
