Do not know anyone that currently has one. I want to know also as I have had a 225 on order for a month now (Re-power). Have heard from two dealers; one said strictly reliability improvements the other stated more performance. Me, i only want one that can stay together for a change...
See if this link works. it is the only one i am aware of, of someone actually running one.

A couple friends of mine have them and the main changes were improved reliability. Speeds are similar to the generation one motors.

The series 2 had had some modification to the oil flow rate. A few of the 07's were blowing power heads. I'll have one on my new I bug soon I hope![]()
We've sold a few and no one has seen a difference. I don't think there will be a difference, the changes made were only towards the motor holding up better long term. The people at Yamaha told us that no performance gains will be noticed.
