    replacing carpeted wheel well bunks

I am selling my boat and want to fix the trailer up a little. The wood has rotted on the carpeted boards that mount to the wheel wells. Some of the screws are missing as well. This is a 99 EZ loader tandem axle trailer. I tried to get some pop rivets, but I cannot find any around that are long enough. They are about a 1\4 inch to small. Anyone have any ideas on what to use?

I had a screw fall out once. Just replaced it with a 1/4" locknut and bolt. Make sure that you screw it down tight enough to burry the head in the carpet and make sure the bolt is not too long, so that it would hit the tire.

I got the black composite from EZ and screws from good local hardware store...when I worked on my 2000 ZX195... big downer to have boards last less than 5 years.

Phone Leona Kerns at EZ Loader (1-800-553-7855 ext 254). They can provide you with the wood, matching carpet and screws. She will need the last 5 numbers of your trailer VIN.
